Specialised Certificate Programme- Valuation Surveyor is a highly beneficial training program organised by the Institution of Valuers (IOV), in association with CRTE, to nurture and empower the workforce to assist the Valuers in their smooth functioning.

A Valuation Surveyor performs a range of support services to assist the Valuer with auditing, assessments, estimation and appraisals to determine the value of a business and/or asset.
The following are the roles and responsibilities of a Valuation Surveyor: • Collect and confirm data, conduct discussions with the executives of stakeholders and perform additional research, if necessary. • Assist in the preparation of valuation reports under the guidance of a Valuer, including entering data in the property database and taking pictures of the subject and comparable. • Prepare documentation, complete analysis and research on appraisal assignments. • Research market area, analyse current transactions and how they compare to the subject property.

This course will be conducted in Hybrid mode, i.e. combining both online and in-person classes. The online classes will be held on Saturdays for 3 hours/day, and the Personal Contact Programme (PCP) will be 3 days at the end of the course at the venue to be decided at that time.
No. Prior experience or specific qualifications in valuation are not required for enrolment in this course. The course is beginner-friendly and is open to a wide range of qualifications.
Yes, working professionals can apply for this course and attend online classes on Saturdays to accommodate their work schedules. Participants already assisting a Valuer or Valuer Entity do not need to pursue the internship; they need to submit proof of their 6 months of employment for the same.
The course is of 100 credit points. Each section has been assigned some credit points, which will be assessed through examination for each section/sub-section.
Yes, participants need to appear for the examination section/sub-section-wise after the completion of the respective section/sub-section by paying applicable examination fees.
The examination will be a combination of objective-type and descriptive-type, depending on the nature of the particular section.
No. After the successful completion of this course and work experience of 3-4 years under an established Valuer or Valuer Entity, you will be eligible to take the exam to become a Valuation Professional.
No, all these expenses are included in the course fees.
Practical experience will be gained through an internship with a Valuer/ Valuer Entity. Participants are also required to submit assignment and site inspection report as part of internship.
Yes, there is a guaranteed placement opportunity (based on the interview performance) for successful participants with a Valuer or Valuer Entity.
No, this course can be attended on Saturdays. However, for the internship, you may have to leave your job if you are not working under a Valuer or Valuer Entity. If you are already working under a Valuer/ Valuer Entity, you must submit your 6 months employment proof.
The one-time enrolment fee for this course is Rs. 2,500/- + GST. Further, each section has its own designated fees and examination fees. Attending section 1 and/or section 2 is exempted for the participants who have already studied these sections only on submission of the relevant certificate/certificates. If you are equipped with adept knowledge of these particular sections, you can proceed directly towards paying the examination fees for the same.
No. You can pay the fee section-wise. However, a special discount of 18% should be given to the participants, in case the participant makes the full payment of the course fees at the beginning of the course.
